UNC Asheville offers affordable summer intern housing in Asheville, North Carolina for students completing internships, co-ops, research, or summer employment in the greater Asheville area. Our on-campus housing provides a convenient, safe, and cost-effective option for students from across the U.S. and around the world.

Who Is Eligible?
Intern housing is available to students who:
- Are currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program at an accredited post-secondary institution (from any college or university, not just UNC Asheville)
- Are actively participating in an internship, co-op, research experience, or educational summer employment in the greater Asheville area
- Are at least 18 years old on their scheduled arrival date
- Can commit to a minimum stay of 30 consecutive nights
Proof of enrollment and/or internship/employment may be required. UNC Asheville reserves the right to verify eligibility with a student’s institution or internship supervisor.
Summer 2026 Intern Housing Dates
- Available: Monday, May 18, 2026 – Friday, July 31, 2026
Interns may stay for any duration within this date range, provided the 30-night minimum requirement is met.
On-Campus Intern Housing Options
The Village – Suite-Style Intern Housing
$33 per night
Ideal for interns seeking affordable, community-oriented housing close to campus resources.
- Private single bedroom in a shared suite
- Furnished with extra-long twin bed, desk, desk chair, dresser, closet/wardrobe space
- Mini fridge and microwave in each bedroom
- Bathrooms located within the suite and shared only by suite residents
- Individually controlled air conditioning
- Wireless internet
- TV lounge and community kitchen
- Free on-site laundry
- Access to Ramsey Library for research and study
- Optional on-campus meal plan
- Optional fitness pass
- Campus parking available (permit required)
The Woods – Apartment-Style Intern Housing
$37 per night
Perfect for interns who prefer apartment-style living with a full kitchen.
- Private single bedroom in a shared apartment
- Furnished with extra-long twin bed, desk, desk chair, dresser, closet/wardrobe space
- Full kitchen in each apartment
- Bathrooms located within the apartment and shared only by apartment residents
- Individually controlled air conditioning
- Wireless internet
- Free on-site laundry
- Access to Ramsey Library for research and study
